About the Farm
Nine One Coffee Organic Farm is owned by Mr. Wullop, one of the founders and former president of of the Thailand specialty coffee association (SCATH). The farm is called a Miang Forest, because of its history as a Miang (tea) plantation. Miang used to be a Thai staple snack which people chewed like gums. As their popularity waned, Nine One Coffee was founded in 1998 as a Miang crop replacement without damaging the ecosystem. Nine One Coffee aims to elevate Thai coffee industry, develop new strands of Coffee and protect the environmental. The farm insisted strongly on organic farming to help preserve upstream water reservoir.
